Thermoforming
Thermoforming: Process where sheets of plastic are heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific part shape on a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product. Includes vacuum forming, billow forming, and pressure forming.

Vacuum Forming
Perfect for creating parts with uniform thicknesses at shallow depths
Pressure Forming
Compressed air is used to produce parts with greater definition and enhanced surface detail
Billow Forming
Uses a draw box to produce uniform wall thickness on parts with greater depths
Rotational molding
A versatile process for creating unique, extremely tough parts in one-piece construction. Dry, powdered plastic is added to a closed mold and heated while rotating bi-axially. After cooling, the part is de-molded and ready for secondary operations.

Polycarbonate is a rigid, clear, high-impact strength material. Its unique properties allow it to be bent and formed without the application of heat. Gemstar’s routing and fabrication capabilities are used to create complex parts for multiple custom applications.
